Michaela is part of IU Cinema’s marketing team with responsibilities that include managing, editing, and writing for publications like the Establishing Shot blog and KinoIU; working with partners on promoting their programs; copyediting design collateral; and various other communications and outreach tasks. She also enjoys helping to program such series as 5X and Saturday Matinee Classics.
After receiving a BA in Communication and Culture from IU, Michaela went on to earn her master’s, specializing in Cinema and Media Studies. She began at the Cinema as a volunteer in 2016 and soon became a part-time employee for the next six years. A classic Hollywood obsessive, Michaela likes to believe she is an expert on Esther Williams and can happily recommend to you the perfect Cary Grant movie for any occasion.
